Welcome!  Are you seeking a summer job, a semester internship, or planning your long-term career?  Perhaps you’re curious about alternatives to traditional legal practice or how to land a judicial clerkship?  Are you trying to figure out how to balance work and your personal life?  Do you a challenge with your current employer or are you trying to understand if you should accept an offer?  No matter your needs, we are here to assist and counsel you as you pursue your unique ambitions.  Even if you’re not quite sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place.

We are also here to serve you, whether you are considering a career change, or need us to review your application materials, we are here to assist you throughout your career.

As an alumnus of the S.J. Quinney College of Law, you are the most critical resource for the success of our current and future students, from internships to short-term projects, to summer jobs, to long-term careers.  Your advice, wisdom, and experience are essential to our ability to serve the next generation of proud Utah lawyers.

We look forward to hearing from you!

We are in the process of integrating the S.J. Quinney College of Law Alumni Job Board into our 12Twenty career management system.  This action will allow us to better serve alumni who may be seeking employment, and employers posting career opportunities.  12Twenty will create a more dynamic and user-friendly experience as our alumni search for and post jobs.

You can access 12Twenty here.  If you need to create an account, please do so here.  Once you log in, select “OCI & Job Listings”.  This will lead you to the job postings that are available to you.  If you have any questions or issues, please don’t hesitate to contact us at and we respond to your email as soon as we can.

We are excited to meet with you! There are a number of easy ways to connect with us.

• Visit our Calendly page, and book an appointment. Through this method, you will be randomly assigned to any CDO counselor depending on your availability.
• Email Cynthia Lane and she will assist you in booking an appointment with any CDO counselor.
• Email or call any of us directly.

Because of the pandemic, CDO will be working remotely this fall. However, we are available during regular office hours and can easily be contacted by phone or video. We are excited to connect with you!

We will be regularly host events throughout the year, albeit remotely, giving you an opportunity to connect with students and fellow alumni.  If you would be interested in participating in a particular event or perhaps might even have an idea for an event, we look forward to hearing from you.  We appreciate your continued support and participation.
