From the Dean’s Desk: Fall 2023
I have really enjoyed our SJQ on the Road events these past several months and catching up with alumni around the country. I am energized by the amazing work you do.
From our Director of Alumni Relations: We Want to Hear From You!
We are on the cusp of a new year of students and classes. I’m so grateful to all of you who have helped our students and participated in events to support them. They gain so much from your experiences, and it gives them the confidence to know they, too, can accomplish great things.
From the Editor’s Desk: Summer 2023
I’m excited to present the summer issue of Res Gestae! Though this is my first time working in academia, I’m the daughter of two public educators who instilled in me a love for learning and a passion for reading. My maiden name is Law, and my father secretly hoped one of his children would become a lawyer.

From our Director of Alumni Relations
After a long winter, this spring feels like a season full of reconnection. Our Utah Law Awards Dinner on April 21 was a wonderful chance to catch up with alumni from across the decades—and I was reminded of just how many different ways that we, as an alumni community, are changing the world for the better.
From the Dean’s Desk: Spring 2023

Our Utah Law Awards Dinner brought together alumni and 3L students at our end-of-year celebration for the first time ever, and we’re excited to carry on this new tradition in the coming years.
