We're excited to share the spring issue of Res Gestae!
Spring is a special time of year at the College of Law, when we celebrate both our existing alumni and our soon-to-be graduates. I was thrilled to see so many of you at the Utah Law Awards Dinner on April 21, and to welcome our 3L students to the event for the first time ever. This is a new tradition that we’re excited to carry forward in the coming years.
Each year our alumni awards dinner reminds me of the countless ways in which Utah Law’s alumni impact the community and support our law school. I am also grateful to the firms who sponsored tables at the event: Their support covered the cost of hosting our 3Ls and raised critical funds for our student scholarships. This year’s awards dinner was one for the books, and we can’t wait to see you there again next year!
As if that weren’t enough, Convocation is just around the corner. Our ceremony on May 12 at 9:30 am will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel, and I invite you to join the celebration online. In addition to conferring diplomas, we will highlight some of the many accomplishments of our JD and MLS classes as we welcome our new graduates into the Utah Law alumni community.
We want to share your accomplishments and milestones, too! Keep us—and your fellow alumni—up to date by submitting to our Class Notes. We publish your contributions each year in our fall issue.
