Brett Wiersum Awarded Second Place in the Energy and Public Lands Student Writing Competition

While a 3L at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, Brett Wiersum took second place in the Energy and Public Lands Student Writing Competition, co-sponsored by the ABA Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources and the University of Montana School of Law’s Public Lands and Resources Law Review, for his paper titled “The New Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.” He will have his paper published in the law review, was awarded $500, and  was provided airfare to Missoula, Montana for the Spring 2013 ABA Public Land Law Symposium, where he was recognized. Wiersum wrote the paper for Professor Robin Craig’s class on Ocean and Coastal Law last semester.
