TAO Lei, Deputy Director and Assistant Professor of the Research Institute of Environment and Resources Law at Hohai University in Nanjing, China, is serving as a Visiting Research Fellow at the College of Law this academic year.
During her stay in the U.S., Professor TAO will conduct research on water law and climate change adaptation. With funding provided by the Chinese Scholarship Committee, the College of Law is providing her with research space, research privileges and access to office equipment. She will also participate in scholarly programs at the College of Law and elsewhere at the U.
“We are truly delighted to host Professor Tao to study U.S. water law, and I hope this will very much be a two-way exchange,” said Robert Adler, James I. Farr Professor of Law at the College of Law, and himself a water scholar. “I am very excited to learn more about water law and policy in China, especially as both of our countries confront very difficult water management challenges in the face of climate change.”
