This year, two students from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney of Law—Kass Wallin and David Hatch—were awarded Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation scholarships worth a total of $8000. They were two of 24 scholarship recipients (out of a pool of 61 applicants) for this semi-annual round of awards. In addition to the scholarships, they each receive funding to attend one of the RMMLF programs. Students from the College of Law have been very competitive in the RMMLF scholarship competition. Last year, College of Law students Steven Clark Anderson and Jamie Carpenter received RMMLF scholarships, and over the past 30 years, the College of Law has ranked fourth among the 30 governing law schools that are eligible for foundation scholarships.
